Dear Not So Secret Agent readers,

The countdown is on for this week’s AMA (ask me anything!). As a reminder, all paying subscribers have access to this 90-minute zoom session. The first 60 minutes will be an open AMA which we will kick off by answering the timeless question: “Do you need a huge platform to secure an agent and land a book deal?” Spoiler alert: No, but it helps—and we will get into why. I will then open it up to questions in the chat which I will answer in real time.

Then, for the last 30 mins, I will facilitate an OFFER & ASK networking session. This is your opportunity to either make an offer to someone in our virtual room to help support their work, or to make an ask to those who might be in a position to help you with a specific career goal. Please come with a generous and abundant mindset, whatever this means to you.

April 30^th also happens to be the one-year anniversary of my Not So Secret Agent Newsletter! I am delighted by the fact that it looks like I planned the AMA on the actual one-year mark as a way to show how strategic and organized I am. But alas, if you know anything about my day-to-day life juggling clients, Maybelline’s bike riding obsession, team meetings, and the inevitable triage of publishing dumpster fires that arise, you know I am just going to take this one as a win for my calendar!

I can’t begin to thank you all for being part of this incredible community of readers. I am beyond grateful to each one of you reading this. Yes, I’m talking to you specifically! My passion for sharing information about cookbook publishing has been met with such love, gratitude, and appreciation. Believe me when I say, the feelings are mutual. I can’t wait until Wednesday to celebrate by being available to you all and answering your burning cookbook questions.
